          GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jonathan Eig will discuss his most recent book, “King: A Life” at a Martin Luther King Jr.

          Day event on Monday, Jan. 20, the first of a free, annual series held by Calvin University.

          Eig’s book, published in 2023, earned him the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for biography.

          In discussions Monday, Eig will explore the book’s focus on King’s legacy as a deep thinker, strategist and committed leader of one of history’s greatest movements.

          He will also explain why King’s demands for justice remain urgent today.
